The Riparian Preserve is located, just southeast of this community, in the southeastern corner of Guadalupe Road and Greenfield Road. The Preserve features 110 acres of 7 ponds, ramadas and 4.5 miles of walking trails and fishing at the lake. The lakes has seen over 200 species of birds, for those bird watcher amongst us. The trails of the preserve connect to the Gilbert Trail System (The Santan Vista Trail), and are accessible from various gated points of entry on all sides.
Residences can get some exercise by walking, rollerblading or biking on the Heritage Trail that runs just west of this community. The Trail runs the along Consolidated Canal running north-south from east of Lindsay Road to McQueen/Queen Creek roads. the same trail turns into the Sun Circle Trail. This located on the northern border of Holliday Farms by Pulte Homes, corridors between Guadalupe Road and Elliot Road from McQueen to Power Road. Rustic-looking pedestrian bridges have been installed across the canals, connecting subdivisions to parks and trails and these bridges. The Santan Vista Trail is just east of this community. The Santan Vista Trail follows along the Eastern Canal, running north-south from west of Greenfield Road to Gilbert Road and Riggs Road.
Freestone Park, a City of Gilbert public park, is located of the development on the east side of Lindsay and south of Guadalupe Road. The park features: Skate Park, 4 lighted full court basketball court, 8 baseball batting cage slots, 2 lighted sand volleyball court, 2 children playground area, 4 stadium style baseball diamonds, 2 full soccer fields, concessions and bathrooms.
